Hello everyone! Welcome to our first devlog, we like to call it RGB 1. You'll find out why  ;)

What is Clash of Splats you may ask?

Clash of Splats is our project, a game made by two game devs who have joined forces to create something crazy, cool and addictive. 

Our first post goes around the story of the game. 

The Story

All started with a crazy brainstorm where we joined our ideas and our opinions of games that we like to play, such as Fortnite, Call of Duty, Bioshock, GTA, etc. (the list is long). We came out with the idea of making something different, something strange, crazy, that could call people's attention and captivate their curiosity for playing our game. The story goes around the paintball theme. So we said "Hey, why not making a paintball fps, but not any kind of paintball, a crazy and fun one." . The idea started taking shape once we got the assets that we needed (we will mention them in the next posts) or at least the ones that we could be able to modify and use as we please in the game. 

Next we created a short first draft of the story behind all the shooting and it starts like this:

"The aliens are invading our planet. They came here for one reason, our PAINT! This common and ordinary substance for us, it's a treasure for these creatures, which will by all means try to get what they want.

You, you are the only one who can save us from losing all our paints. Save the paint!"

So, you start as one of the most famous paintball players around the world, and you're placed in one of the paintball arenas where, obviously, there are lots of paint canisters. You're mission is to protect all the canisters from the aliens. To do so you have at your disposition a shop where you can buy traps to help you defend the places and defend yourself from the enemies; weapons, a big variety, that can give you the extra power to do your labour. Adding to the shop you also got the ATMs. Yes, ATMs, but instead of money you buy health, shield and ammo, all these spawned around the map to get what you want while running around.
